The Scarlet Moon amplifies vampires’ abilities, allowing them to create a hallowed dimension called the Prison, where they perform to captivate audiences. In Harajuku, they come together under the “Scarlet Moon,” which marks the site of their annual Visual Prison feast. Now, vampires are gathering in Tokyo, Japan. A prime example is the genre known as “Visual Kei”. Humans have been crazy over their music without knowing that most of their favorite artists are not human. They have made all sorts of cultural contributions through their songs over time. Although they live in the shadows, they have always been creators who love music. Vampires - immortal beings of great intelligence and beauty. Perhaps its power is immense enough to change even the non-human beings known as vampires. It transcends barriers, conveying emotions. For reasons of their own, both dream of going into space. As part of a daring new Operation Nosferatu, Project Mechtat will use Irina as a test subject for various conditions expected in space, and ultimately as part of a manned mission, with Lev overseeing Irina's training as a cosmonaut. The story centers on Lev Leps, a backup astronaut candidate, and his new companion, the vampire Irina Ruminescu.
To this end, the Union establishes the isolated city of Laika 44, where cosmonaut candidates compete for planned manned missions to space, and scientists develop the technology to make it happen, all in an environment of secrecy. In 1960, the Union's Premier Gergiev announces Project Mechtat (Dream), a prestigious plan to launch manned missions into the final frontier. Both of these superpowers now test their ambitions against each other in a space race. Set in a fictional world, 10 years after a long war divided the world into two superpowers: the Union of Zirnitra Republics in the east, and the United Kingdom of Arnak in the west. Will the melody they produce together be joy or despair? Meanwhile, Musicart Destiny hopes to wipe out the D2. In a world without music, Takt longs for it. Takt the Conductor and Destiny the Musicart travel together to New York. The United States has been devastated by the struggle against the D2. With them are the "Conductors" who lead the girls. They possess the great operas and musical scores of human history and use them to defeat the D2.
They are the "Musicart," girls who draw power from music. However, those who opposed the monsters appeared. As the D2 were drawn to melodies people played, eventually "music" itself became taboo.
Grotesque monsters known as D2 emerged from the meteorite and began to overrun the land and people. The world changed the night the black "Kuroya Meteorite" fell. Music is the light that illuminates people's hearts- and that "light" was suddenly taken from the world.
