If any of you are still having this problem (I just did), I solved it by updating my sound card driver, going to the Midi menu, changing sound to midi output, then back to VST. Also, when I start the player for playback, the line goes through each measure as if reading them but there is no sound. I've entered notes to a song, but even though I have "Play Notes on Entry" selected, the notes don't play as I enter them.
